The most important and significant part of creating an ergonomic and comfortable workspace is choosing the right chair. Since you spend approximately 10 hours a day in this space, your office chair will significantly affect your posture. So, what features should an ergonomic chair have?

    • Height: A chair with the appropriate height should be selected to ensure the correct leg angle (90 degrees).
    • Lumbar Support: It is important to choose a chair with the right curve that properly supports your lower back, preferably with adjustable lumbar support.
    • Movement Mechanism: If the flooring allows for movement, chairs with wheeled bases can make your work more comfortable. For quiet areas such as meeting rooms, there are lighter solutions with noise-minimizing wheel mechanisms.
    • Material: To avoid sweating issues, chairs with mesh backs or made from breathable fabric provide great comfort. Using molded foam in the seating area helps maintain the chair’s shape over time.
    • Arm Support: The ergonomically ideal arm position while working is at a 90-degree angle. It is essential that the armrest height is adjustable accordingly. Chairs with mechanisms allowing forward-backward and up-down movements can be preferred.
